Happy 10 weeks Lana!

Lana is 10 weeks old today.  I can't beleive it!  As I am typing, she is sitiing up in her little swing watching t.v. She absloutely loooovvveees to watch t.v.  (Yes, I have 16 and Pregnant on, and no, I know this is not a show designed for babies, but for now, she seems to like it as much I do.;-))

Also, today is Gracie's 4th birthday.  I am sure she would feel left out if I didn't share that with everyone. ;-) 

Most of the pictures above are from Mother's Day weekend.  Lana made her first trip to Buca on Saturday and to the ZOO on Sunday!! What a fun weekend.  The third picture down is of Lana looking around under the dolphin tank while the dolphin show was going on.

Today, Lana Grace is 9 weeks old, and today was her 2 month well baby check up. Luke and I really thought Lana would literally be off the charts with her length, and it turns out we were not all that wrong. ;) Lana is in the 95th percentile for length!! She is also now 90th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for head circumference! Wowsers! She also got three rounds of vaccines today, and took them like a champ. She has been a little bit "extra" tired, but has otherwise been one tough cookie. She even has two pink camo bandaids to prove she is a tough baby. We love this little baby soooooo much, and know we are truly blessed! God is so good. :)

Happy 2 Month Birthday, Lana!

Here are some recent pictures of Lana.  (In fact, I am so on top of it this time, these pictures are all from within the past week.)  ;-)  I love the pictures of her proudly sucking her thumb.  She is a darn good thumb sucker.  Most of the pictures are  from today, Lana's 2 month birthday. 
Also, I am also proud to share than Lana has slept through the night for an entire week!  Last night she slept from 9:30-5:30.  We are, of course, so proud of her.  :-) 
Lana helped out with our big garage sale this past weekend. Many of our shoppers admired her. ;-) She got to spend lots of time with Grandma Patty, Mimi, and Poppy.

A few quick Lana updates: 1. She has officially discovered how to suck her little thumb. She has done it several days in a row since Thursday. :) 2. She slept from 10:30 last night until Daddy got up this morning at 5:45!!! What a big girl!

I forgot some!!! :-)  Here are sme pictures from her one month birthday weekend!  (You will notice Gracie made it in to a few completely on her own... she mustn't be left out.)

Lana is 7 weeks and 1 day old today, and is just the sweetest, cutest, funniest, baby!  She gets smarter and prettier every single day.  So far, the verdict is that Lana has Auntie Em's ears, Uncle Kristopher's hands, Daddy's facial expressions, Mommy's nose, and possibly "Lechner eyes."  Nevertheless, she is so much cuter than Luke or I ever thought about being.  ;-)

Last week, she started laughing and smiling at her little bear mobile attached to her bassinet.  So now, I can do chores in the morning while she stares happily at those little white bears.  Lana and I are loving it. 

The pictures above are mostly from Easter ( I know I said I would post them two weeks ago...eeks), and the last few are from this past Saturday and Sunday for two of Lana's big dates.  :-)

Lana's 5 Week Update :)

Today, Lana is 5 weeks old. Within the past week, she has learned to smile, and does so several times a day! It melts our hearts every time we see her do it!
Also, today, Lana had a doctor appointment. She is a whopping 9 lbs. 10.5 oz. She went from being in the 50th percentile for her weight last month to being in the 75th percentile this month. She is in the 90th percentile for her length. As our pediatrician said, "She is taking after her daddy." Both the nurse and the pediatrician asserted Lana is an advanced baby. The nurse said she acts more like a two month old and the pediatrician was blown away by her ability to keep her head up like a champ while on her belly.
We are already so proud of Lana. We can take her anywhere and she acts like a little lady. She also sleeps for 4-5 hours at a time at night. Wow, we are so blessed.
